Hands-On Treatment on Mandela Day makes SAP smile
As part of its contribution to the international Mandela Day on 18 July and to extend support to the often beleaguered members of the South African Police Services, Mobile Massage Company Hands-On Treatment visited the SAPS Parkview Station to offer those in uniform some much-need professional massage therapy.
The ten-year old on-site massage services company extends its service to the corporate sector, covering specialised labour-intensive areas such as call centres, events and exhibitions, amongst others.
Hands On Treatment has been a Proudly South African member since 2003 and in 2007 received the Proudly South African best SMME Service award. It also has a level BEE 4 status and is in the process of obtaining a level BEE 2 status.
The officers were grateful for the treatment.
“What a feeling. In 26 years of my work in SAPS, I have never had this kind of treatment. Due to salary problems, I did not try to go for the private massage. I am 50 years old and I feel 22 today. Thank you for what you have given us. I have cancelled my sick leave because I feel better now. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Happy Tata’s birthday. Wow!,” said Captain Patience Mahaloba.
Captain Ledwaba added: “It happened at the right time, since I was very stressed and I was about to consult the doctor. And fortunately you people came at the right time. I would like to say thank you very much and keep up the good work!”
Martina Laurie, CEO of Hands On Treatment, said the company was pleased to offer 67 minutes of its time to not only honour Nelson Mandela, but also contribute towards the welfare of the country’s essential police services.
