‘Prepare for an explosive year ahead’ – Dac Systems
From a technology solution supply and reselling perspective, 2015 is going to be a bumper year.
Aldo van Tonder, Solutions Executive at Dac Systems says the solution market (defined by development, rollout and applications) has matured and this bodes well for operators looking for growth opportunity.
“I believe that the cloud solution landscape is slowly taking shape and that this will guide the future for businesses,” says van Tonder.
Dac Systems is a Proudly South African national Microsoft-focused specialist services and solutions provider. The Company continues to track the progress of influences that impact significantly on the solution space, including the relevance of Cloud.
“It’s very relevant in today’s business landscape and economic climate, but public cloud in its purest forms is not 100% there yet,” van Tonder adds.
“I believe the next twelve months will see more and more hybrid solutions coming into play and that this trend will continue for the next 2 or 3 years until the market and businesses alike is ready for the full ‘cloud’ Monty,”
Another reason for the optimism at Dac Systems is the opportunity that lies in the advent towards mobility. It is an area that is driven by change, innovation and immediate value – for both businesses and consumers.
Despite a slight drop in the market figures for certain smartphone and tablet vendors, the consumerization of IT will continue to be entrenched and emerge as a reality of life.
This will impact the consumer/business dynamic in a substantial way says van Tonder.
“This will mean that the consumer drives the strategy for more and more business…companies will be compelled to adapt to ensure they cater not only for their end customers, but also for staff that is starting to want to use their devices and mobile technologies to connect to work systems,” he adds.
There can be no mobile and digital strategies without consideration of issues like BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and BYOA (Bring Your Own App), and how best to leverage these to generate leads and revenue streams.
In providing value added solutions, value-add is measured by consistency, product knowledge, expertise and reliability of the technology and the vendor van Tonder explains.
The market has evolved to the point where any sized company now has the opportunity to enhance operations and productivity, manage compliance and collaborate across various platforms to be able to compete on another level. “It is about driving costs down but having the technical ability and resources to grow in agility, that is the heart of IT spend today.”
