AfriSam to expand WFM solution in Africa using AWM360’s Kaba technology
South Africa’s first and long-standing AWM360 Data Systems SAP client AfriSam, a leading supplier of construction materials and technical solutions, expanded its existing Kaba WFM solution into Tanzania and is using Kaba’s biometric- and card-based SAP-certified and integrated solution (using B-Web 9300 terminals) to ensure seamless operation into a new environment.
AWM360 is a leading supplier of technology to the Human Capital Management (HCM) workforce and HR markets. It is also the premier and preferred system integrator for Kaba AG, a global manufacturer of access control and digital security solutions.
AfriSam has been a client of AWM360/SAP for many years and has, since 2007, used the Kaba solution supplier to run its entire workforce management operation.
In 2015 AfriSam expanded into East Africa’s Tanzania as Tanga Cement and will utilise their Kaba time and attendance solution, ideal for accurate reading, monitoring and managing staff punctuality, and is positioned to add value.
The advantages of this technology include scalability, and the ability to link directly to your enterprise resource planning system to automate data collection and evaluation,”
The Kaba B-COMM ERP 5 – SAP ERP integration platform is used to facilitate data exchange between the terminals and SAP HCM software, as well as with the Kaba B-web 9300 Series terminals.
This terminal infrastructure is differentiated in a competitive space by its level of adaptability to new environments, easy and reliable operation and high system availability as well as reliability in very challenging environmental environments..
“The solution is scalable to meet all necessary standards relating to enterprise-wide processes such as statutory and contractual conditions that can be defined by the user and by law. The system also ensures compliance with working-time rules and regulations… and this level of flexibility and practical functionality is invaluable to our client,” says Guenter Nerlich, Managing Director at AWM360 Data Systems.
The front end will run at AfriSam in Tanga, Tanzania and the SAP-related instance will be managed and run in South Africa.
“This solution is ideal for the sub-tropical, demanding environment in Tanzania… it is robust, easily integrated and flexible,” Nerlich adds.
